The town was build in a semi-circular form around what is not seekonk common, with the meeting house and parsonage in the center. The semi-circle opened toward the Seekink or Pawtucket river. Roger Amadowne's house was at the northeastern end of the semi-circle about one mile northeast of the church in the present town of seekonk.
